VISION

My work focuses on sculptural interventions in public spaces. The starting point is a precise analysis of the location: architecture, scale, paths, lighting situation and use. Art is not created as an addition, but as an independent setting that activates and expands spatial conditions.

Light and shadow are central design elements. Reflective or absorbent surfaces create changing images during the day that react to movement, weather and perspective. This changeability anchors the sculptures in everyday life and turns them into living elements of the urban space. The appearance is clear, reduced and designed to sharpen perception rather than dominate it.

Material defines structure and expression. Stainless steel, Corten steel and bronze enable durable, robust constructions with low maintenance requirements. Durability, static clarity and precise execution are prerequisites for me to ensure that a work in public space remains resilient and comprehensible. For me, sustainability means not only ecological awareness, but also conceptual responsibility: a work must be sustainable in terms of time and content.

The design process is iterative. Models, digital construction, material studies and detailed technical development are created in parallel. Art and engineering are not in opposition; only their interaction opens up the space for convincing solutions.

In terms of content, I am interested in the social dimension: art should be accessible, generate conversation and enable community. It shows attitude without being fixed - open to different interpretations, open to change. The location is not a decorative backdrop, but an equal partner. A work is successful when it strengthens local identity, offers orientation and formulates a clear, yet open image.

I see art in public spaces as a responsibility. Every project carries the possibility of redefining spaces and changing perceptions. I look for precise, calm gestures that remain because they continue in people's minds.
